On January 25, 2024, at noon the Alaska Bankruptcy Section will present the Honorable Daniel Collins, bankruptcy judge for the District of Arizona to discuss chapter 11 cases under Subchapter V – including what issues and trends are arising in the first several years of this new subchapter of bankruptcy. Judge Collins is the immediate past president of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges and a frequent speaker at national bankruptcy conferences. Bankruptcy judge Gary Spraker will moderate the presentation, which will take place in the Herbert A. Ross Courtroom in the Old Federal Building, 605 W. 4th Ave., Anchorage. This meeting shall be in person and lunch will be provided. Anyone interested is encouraged to attend. Those unavailable to attend in person may participate via Zoom, but the ability to ask questions or engage in any discussions may be limited.
The rules committee will meet directly after the conclusion of the section meeting and those interested may participate in-person or via Zoom.
